...ok that's not actually a thing...well maybe. My crafting started with Converse. They're my go-to shoe. I hated that my white ones would get faded, dirty, and dull but were still a usable shoe. So I started to Tie-Dye them and give them a new life. After that, crafting just evolved from there. As a teacher, I usually had a limited budget for birthday, holiday, and coworker gifts. I found that handmade and personalized gifts meant so much more to my friends and family.
I grew up in the Bay Area and went to college down in San Diego but I've been a Texan for quite a bit now. I am currently a middle school teacher who also works in a restaurant over holiday and summer breaks and crafts in the extra in between time (cue music: everyday I'm hustlin). I have a wonderful and supportive fiance and a 70 pound lap dog who are always there to help and encourage me.
